We have all bought a lotto ticket with the hope that it might just be ‘the one’. But we also all think, in the back of our minds, that it probably won’t be. It’s just not very often that a store gets the chance to change someone’s life. We have all bought a lotto ticket with the hope that it might just be ‘the one’. But we also all think, in the back of our minds, that it probably won’t be. It’s just not very often that a store gets the chance to change someone’s life. That is, unless it’s Canning Vale Newsagency!
“We’re considered a lucky store,” said Uresh, owner at Canning Vale Newsagency. Just checkout their Facebook page to see all the winning tickets. Uresh recalls one of his favourite moments from working at the store — a time they really did change someone’s life.
“It was the day we sold our first-division winning lotto ticket to a deserving customer, who recently lost his job due to COVID. It was worth a whopping $5.8 million. We are so happy that we brought not only a change to his life, but his entire family.”
For Uresh, every day at the newsagency is fun. He loves talking to people and hearing about their day-to-day life experiences. So, when he needs some extra energy to chat to all his customers (and give away millions of dollars), what’s his coffee order?
“I stop by Muffin Break and order a flat white with an extra shot,” Uresh said.
He enjoys the simple things. In his time working at the centre, his favourite changes have been the upgrading of the cooling system and the new oriental supermarket. We can all definitely appreciate those too! When he’s not in the Centre, you can find Uresh going for walks around the beautiful parks in Canning Vale and meeting new people.
Uresh says some people don’t know that Canning Vale Newsagency isn’t just a lotto store. They also stock some other awesome products and provide top-notch customer service.
“We sell a good range of candles, gifts and novelties for a reasonable price. We have the complete range of Excel and NAPLAN books, as well as a wide range of magazines,” he said. “We understand our customers’ needs and cater accordingly, be it lotto or stationery. We can do special customer orders for particular magazines and inks.”
If you’re ever in need of a gift, or just want to treat yourself, make sure you stop into Canning Vale Newsagency; Uresh says you can’t be a $25 lotto ticket. After all, it really could change your life! Even if you don’t win, you’ll get to meet Uresh and experience his awesome customer service. It’s a win-win!
