Community is at the core of our centres and this year we have collaborated with Western Australian artist Mikaela Miller to create our holiday gift wrap. A young artist, who is actively involved in community development as a public artist, printmaker and arts faciliator, Mikaela's focus on native flora has created something beautiful and magical to wrap your gifts in.
Drawing inspiration from native Australian flora that is related to Christmas in some way, whether it be the species itself, when it blooms or the colours of the foliage. The process begins with detailed research, followed by sketching individual components before filling them in and combining them into a beautiful canvas.
